We welcome you to the new month of March, 2015.
Just like yesterday, we wished each other Happy New Year 2015, but alas, right in our very eyes, we are now in the third month of 2015. May God teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom (Psalm 90:12).
Funny, but interestingly, many people are just planning to ‘begin’ the year. Most of these people are lost in the euphoria that things will start happening after the election; this year being an election year in Nigeria. Their hope of beginning the year after February 14 was dashed when the election date was postponed. Now they are looking at beginning their own 2015 after March 28 (the new election date).
My question is: Are you a politician?
Your goals and aspirations in life should never be determined by political and economic happenstances. Even if opportunity is knocking on your door, you may miss it, just because you’re unprepared.
I have a developer friend who built 4 units of terrace houses at Agungi, Lekki-Lagos, Nigeria. The 4 units were sold out in less than a month after completion. He told me he has two plots of land close to Lagos Business School where he intends to build similar structure. We inspected the land together and I advised him that it will be fantastic to erect similar and even better units there, because the location is superb (proximity to the Lekki expressway and fully developed neighbourhood).
I met this my developer friend few weeks ago to ask him why he has not commenced the development; his response was:
“I want to wait and see what will happen after the election; I want the election to come and go”
I know many people are like my developer friend, waiting for certain events to take place before taking action. I know many other people who are delaying to take certain decision because of election; the truth is election will come and go. If God has ordained that your appointed time for your breakthrough is before the election, and you are waiting for it after the election, I’m sorry that person would have missed it.
One thing that is common to all men is TIME. The richest man on earth and the poorest both have equal amount of time. How they utilize it is what makes them different.
It was Lou Holtz that said ‘Killing Time Is Not Murder; It’s Suicide’. By wasting time or “killing time” you are wasting a precious commodity that you’ll never ever get back. Think about this, spending 15 minutes a day on needless time wasting activities will equate to over 90 hours in a year.
Please rise up and do that which you dare to do. Believe me, this is one of the best times to invest, especially in Nigeria, because there’s so much apprehension in the economic and political system; and Warren Buffet, who is acclaimed to be undoubtedly the most successful investor in history according to Business Insider once said: ‘Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful’.
Because of the apprehension in the system, we have some very cheap and affordable properties that may never have been in existence before now. This is your time to act. Contact us today, we are always here to meet all your real estate needs.
