Alas, March 2016 is here without notice, how time flies! It is interesting that time will continue to tick irrespective of what we do or don’t do, hence the popular saying – Time waits for no man. We welcome you to the beautiful month of March.
We sincerely appreciate your comments and commendations on our last month’s article: “Where We Went Wrong”. If you missed it, you can read it here: http://bit.ly/1P3Igge
Your words of encouragement have been our driving force since all these years, and they will always keep us going. We say ‘Thank you’.
Nigeria is a very interesting country. At every point in time, a particular event must be in the lime light, and this is what is commonly referred to as ‘Trending events’. One of such that received so much publicity in the month of February was that of the former bread-seller turned model – Olajumoke Orisaguna (read story here: http://bit.ly/24z11QI). Everyone seemed to connect to the story and also followed up closely on its aftermath because this is the kind of ‘luck’ or better still, ‘miracle’ we all pray for. Humourously, we read that after the Olajumoke’s miraculous change of destiny, bread hawkers in Lagos started dressing well (http://bit.ly/1QJ2KJ6). Why? Because everyone always wish for such miraculous change of destiny.
Interestingly however, ‘Lucks’ and ‘Miracles’ happen everyday, especially when opportunity meets with preparation. And this is where the higher dimension of Luck comes to play. Some people pray and fast for the type of Olajumoke’s good luck, whereas some few others ‘make effort’ to attract the same kind of good luck towards themselves. The former requires no conscious effort and leaves the ‘work’ to an external force, however, the latter requires ‘conscious, strategic, and deliberate plan’ towards achieving the same objective. Quite a number of people who have achieved some level of success follow the latter path. They don’t wait for a breakthrough, but instead, they break their way through towards the achievement of their goal. Many examples of such people exist, such as the captains and leaders of industries. However, the Olajumoke’s type of luck happens once in every hundreds, thousands or even millions; it can be likened to a lottery, and hence, it’s absolutely unpredictable.
With the foregoing therefore, it is very obvious that everyone have the capacity and capability to create their own good luck; and this is better because it is more predictable and also within your control. This is simply working out your salvation (or say, your own luck, opportunity, miracle, etc).
Which do you prefer? The luck outside your control; or the one that is within your control? The choice is yours!
In conclusion, talking about luck/ opportunity, the present economic situation in Nigeria presents to us tremendous opportunities in real estate investment. We are now experiencing market correction, from the previously overpriced real estate market. For instance, a typical 5 bedroom detached duplex was sold for about N60-65million three years ago in Chevron area of Lekki, Lagos. Similar properties now sells for about N45-55million. This same scenario applies to properties in many other locations within Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Lekki and Ajah environ, being our area of coverage; hence, this is the time to seize the opportunity and buy your dream home, before the market bounces back.
As usual, we want to remind you that we care so much about you, and that when it comes to your real estate investment, we are always here to give you the very best service you can never get elsewhere. That is our promise, and will always be.
We wish you the very best in the month of March.
We remain;
