August is here…the last month of the year before the …mber months.
We welcome you to this special month of grace and favour.
We believe this year has been good for you, amidst the economic condition. Our last article in July (click to read http://bit.ly/29fCp83) proved to us that not everyone is affected by the ‘bad’ economy; many people are actually smiling to the bank on a daily basis. I believe success in life partly have to do with the category of people you move with; if you move with positive enthusiastic people, you will be encouraged to succeed, however, if your friends are negative-minded depressed and dejected individuals, chances are that they will infect you with the virus of negativity. We all have a choice.
It’s high time we took the total control of our life ‘in its entirety’. You may not have control over the economy of your nation, or better still, over your spouse’s attitude/ behaviour, but one thing you have absolute control over is yourself. You cannot change others, you can only change yourself. This reminds me of a story.
“There was a very wealthy man who was bothered by severe eye pain. He consulted many physicians and was being treated by several. He did not stop consulting a galaxy of medical experts; he consumed heavy loads of drugs and underwent hundreds of injections. But the ache persisted with more vigour than before.
At last, a monk who was an expert in treating such patients was called for by the suffering man. The monk understood his problem and said that for sometime, he should concentrate only on green colours and not to let his eyes fall on any other colours. It was a strange prescription, but because he was desperate to do anything to douse the unbearable pain, he decided to give it a try.
The millionaire got together a group of painters and purchased barrels of green paint and directed that every object his eye was likely to fall to be painted green just as the monk had directed. When the monk came to visit him after few days, the millionaire’s servants ran with buckets of green paint and poured it on him since he was in red dress, lest their master see any other colour and his eye ache would come back.
Hearing this, the monk laughed and said “If only you had purchased a pair of green spectacles, worth just a few dollars, you could have saved these walls and trees and pots and all other articles and also could have saved a large share of your fortune. You cannot paint the whole world green.”
The above story may appear funny, but the lesson therein is obvious:
You cannot change others view, opinion and perception (even if you are a billionaire), but you can change yours. Let us change our vision and the world will appear accordingly. It is almost impossible for just one man to shape the world, but each of us have the freewill to shape ourselves.
As usual, we want to remind you that we care so much about you, and that when it comes to your real estate investment, we are always here to give you the very best service you can never get elsewhere. That is our promise, and will always be.
We wish you the very best in the month of August.
