We welcome you to the beautiful month of October!!!
We also wish all Nigerians a happy 55th independence anniversary.
In retrospect, especially in view of our chequered history, we should be thankful to God; Only Him has kept us thus far. Truly, God rules in the affairs of men.
Our article this month will be centred on what happened at a seminar that someone shared with me;
I was part of an audience listening to a motivational speaker at a seminar.
Then, in the course of the seminar, the speaker got out his wallet and pulled out a 1,000 Naira note. Holding it up, he asked, “Who wants this 1,000 naira note?”
Lots of hands went up, including mine. A slow chorus began to build as people began to shout “Me!” “Me!!” “Me!!!”. The chorus even got louder with everyone adding sir!!! Saying “Me Sir!” “Me Sir!!” “Me Sir!!!”
I began to wonder who the lucky one would be, or who the speaker would choose. And I also secretly wondered (and I am sure others did too) why he would simply give away 1,000 naira. Even as the shouts of “I want it sir” grew louder. I noticed a young woman running down the aisle. She ran up to the stage, went up to the speaker, and grabbed the 1,000 naira note from his hand.
“Well done, young lady,” said the speaker into the microphone. The speaker simply said “Most of us just sit, wait and shout for good things to happen. That’s of no use. You’ve got to make thing happen. Make a move”.
This is very dramatic and instructive! Simply thinking about doing something is of no use. We all see opportunities around us. We all want the good things of life, but the problem is most of us are not prepared to make a move! The world does not reward those that are planning to do something, it actually rewards those that have done something. I am yet to see a university that will give a degree to someone for planning to study a course, like Estate Management. You will only be given the degree award after you have studied and passed all the relevant courses.
Everyone wanted the 1,000 naira note being offered, but only one person was ready to make a move, and only that person got the prize (1,000 naira).
Dreaming about it is not enough. Wishing for it is not enough. Longing for it is never enough. Even, praying about it is not enough without taking action (Remember, Work and Pray). You’ve got to get up, and do something about it before it can be yours.
Every good and beautiful things you see around today are as a result of people who made a move. Nothing comes to existence with just wishful thinking. Nothing moves until you move. Please, make that move today, procrastination is the thief of time. Act now!
Just a reminder that we care so much about you, and that when it comes to your real estate investment, we are always here to give you the very best service you can never get elsewhere. That is our promise, and will always be!
We wish you the very best in the month of October.
We remain;
Very truly yours,
